Dr. Ronald Federici has been unjustly criticized by a fringe group of “internet vigilantes” who are the self-appointed watchdogs of international adoptions.
This group has consisted, at various times, of the following individuals:
1. Larry Sarner; Sarner is a mathematician by training. He was involved in a financial scandal involving his non-working designs for voting machines. This scandal resulted in Sarner’s bankruptcy. Sarner is not well respected in either the scientific or critical communities.
2. Linda Rosa; Rosa is Sarner’s wife, who ended up in bankruptcy with him.
3. Jean Mercer; Mercer is a former professor of psychology. She never obtained a clinical license, so she has never seen or treated a patient. Her blogging contract with Psychology Today was terminated as she was using her blog for defamatory purposes.
4. Charly D. Miller: Miller is a retired paramedic and ambulance driver. She has has been relieved of positions for drinking on the job and violating patient confidentiality. She has been successfully sued for defaming a physician.
5. Monica Pignotti: Pignotti is a former Scientologist and practitioner of Roger Callahan’s Thought Field Therapy and Voice Technology. She spends a great deal of time on the Internet participating in attacks on a wide range of mental health practitioners.
These people would have you believe Dr. Federici has an extensive criminal record. Apart from a few traffic tickets, this is untrue. You are invited not only to read his response, but also to conduct your own research!
